Celebration for a safety record of 1 000 continuous days without accidents

– A Significant Safety Milestone!

Happy safety news is reported THAT as the SFWPM employees have together reached a record 1 000 continuous days without any accidents on December 29, 2024!

The excellent safety performance in SFWPM is the result of several factors. Read more to find out about the great safety work being done in SFWPM and the safety measures that all the unit’s staff are involved in:

Firstly, the SFWPM organization has a robust system for managing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) conditions. For example, the Monthly Safety Management Committee Meeting reviews and follows up on action plans to improve HSE conditions. Additionally, the Management Team conducts Quarterly Workplace Safety Inspections to eliminate potential HSE risks and implement 5S management on-site.

A Continuous Improvement Program (CIP) has also been persistently carried out in SFWPM, with employees contributing a total of 44 executable CIP actions focused on HSE improvements over the past three years. This has significantly enhanced safety in the workplace.

——The SFWPM staff have also contributed actively to SFW’s HEART safety observations and made “HH” (Hiyari Hatto, “Near Miss”) reports to identify potential HSE risks on-site. These proactive measures have helped maintain a safe and secure working environment for a full thousand days, and more, says Xiaoming Ding, General Manager of SHI FW Power Machinery Company Ltd (SFWPM).

Supervision and guidance have also been reinforced in the workshop by assigning one part-time Safety Assistant to each workshop (totaling six people) to enhance safety management. Furthermore, the “Shou Zhi Kou Hu” (Si Sa Ko Syou, “pointing and calling”) safety practice has been implemented in the unit’s high-risk operations to prevent accidents.

Lastly, the SFWPM staff have ensured that interventions to unsafe working conditions are implemented promptly, and sharing information about accident cases has been launched to improve employee safety awareness. Additionally, WeChat groups have been built to communicate hazard identification and share Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) in a timely manner.

Here, we express our gratitude to all the staff for contributing to the stable development of the company, fortifying the safety line and safeguarding the health and well-being of every employee.
